Product Overview

Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a type of polyolefin that is composed of very long chains of polyethylene with a very high of parallel orientation and high level of crystallinity. 

The extremely long polymer chains enable load transfer by strengthening intermolecular interactions.  UHMWPE fibers are manufactured in a gel spinning process.  

VH-982 UD sheet is a unidirectional construction in which the yarns are not woven but lie parallel to each other. It can be divided into soft sheet and hard sheet. The soft sheet is used for light soft vest, and the hard sheet is used for plates, helmets, shields and so on. Using VH-982, the minimum weight is needed for protection at different level, and it is not affected by water or sunlight and needs no special protection.
